Rebels Place 36 On Academic All-MWC Team|

LAS VEGAS - UNLV had a total of 36 student-athletes earn Fall 2006 Academic All-Mountain West Conference honors, the conference announced on Thursday. UNLV's 36 representatives were the fourth most in the league, behind BYU's 89, Wyoming's 43 and New Mexico's 40.
To be eligible for selection to the Academic All-MWC team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the school while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their team.
Football led the way at UNLV with an impressive 15 student-athletes earning a spot on the Academic All-MWC squad. Women's soccer was next with 11, followed by seven in volleyball and three in women's cross country.
