UNLV Honors Local Firefighters And Law Enforcement
Oct. 16, 2001
LAS VEGAS - All Southern Nevada firefighters and law enforcement officers can receive one complimentary ticket for Saturday's UNLV football game vs. Colorado State, the school announced Tuesday.
"This game was originally scheduled for Sept. 14 and was postponed because of the national tragedies. " UNLV Associate Athletics Director Terry Cottle said. "That makes this the perfect game to say thanks to our local heroes."
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. for the key Mountain West Conference match-up between the Rebels and two-time defending league champion Rams.
Beginning Thursday, any area firefighter, police officer or sheriff's officer can pick up a ticket by showing their valid photo employee ID at the Thomas and Mack Center Box Office from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Friday and 10 a.m. to kickoff on Saturday. The tickets will also be available on game day at the Sam Boyd Stadium Box Office beginning at 10 a.m.
Single complimentary tickets are located in the end zone and additional seats are available at $12 apiece. Those who wish to buy sideline seats at the regular price of $25 can add the complimentary ticket to that group.
