2000 & 2001 NCAA ALL-AMERICAN
Rebel Notes: Jacint will be used primarily in the distance freestyles, but should compete in a variety of events. 2000-2001: Jacint was the team's second highest scorer at the 2001 MWC Championships. He was a member of the 400 and 800 free relays that broke school and conference records. He won the 200 freestyle, 500 freestyle and 1650 freestyle. He was the MWC Swimmer of the Year and a NCAA qualifier in the 200, 500 and 1650 freestyles. 1999-2000: Jacint was named the 2000 UNLV Sportsman of the Year. He swam for the Hungarian Olympic team in the 800 free relay and was the fourth highest scorer at the MWC Championships. He is a three-time NCAA All-American in the 200 free and 200 and 400 free relays and holds the school record in 200, 500 and 1000 freestyle and 400 free relay. He also holds the Mountain West Conference records in the 200 free (1:37.08), 500 free (4:21.91) and 200 fly (1:47.99) and is a member of the conference record-holding 400 free relay team (2:56.79) with Short, Krzyskow and Wood. 1998-1999: Jacint had a very successful freshmen year, posting a time of 1:38.54 in the 200 free and setting a school record in the 500 free with a time of 4:24.81 during the 1999 WAC Championships. He clocked times of 45.90 in the 100 free against UNM and 51.36 in the 100 fly against Wyoming. He also had a time of 4:05.65 in the 400 IM versus California.
High School: A 1997 graduate, Simon was the Hungarian Champion in the 1500 free and the 4x200 free relay ... was a member of the World University Games for the Hungarian Team.
