Rebels Finish Day One At Air Force Invitational|

COLORADO, SPRINGS, COLO. - (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's diving squads completed their first day of action at the Air Force Invitational Friday on the campus of the Air Force Academy.
The first event on the women's side was the 1-meter board. Mykala Fielding paced the Rebels, placing 14th in the preliminaries out of 66 with 243.10 points. Alyssa Arnett finished 17th with 239.95 points followed by freshman Katie Bezte (30th, 221.90), sophomore Chrysoula Gatsios (38th, 212.20) and freshman Kourtney Clark (57th, 191.05).
On the women's platform, Fielding was the highest finisher placing seventh out of 62 women with 205.85 points, while Arnett claimed 18th with a score of 190.20. It was the first collegiate platform appearance for Bezte and Clark, who placed eighth (204.55), and 58th (145.65) respectively.
The divers will conclude the AFA Invitational tomorrow starting at 8 a.m. PT with the men's 1-meter preliminaries, while ten seniors will be honored during the meet on Saturday for Senior Day against Wyoming on Saturday at 12 pm at Buchanan Natatorium: Kasey Foley, Murilo Gustineli, Tom Paco-Pedroni and Brenton Sayers for the men, while Kimberly Hendrick, Kristina Hendrick, Josefine Hippi, Janelle Nguyen, Gozde Tekin and Kelsey Wuoti represent the women.
