LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women's swimming and diving team finished its regular season schedule with a 156-91 victory over Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon at Buchanan Natatorium. The Rebels won the first seven events of the day before they started to exhibition events, and also swept both relay events.
Two double-event winners paced the way, Jessica Heim in the 200 free (1:54.05) and the 500 free (5:11.46), and Carmen Robb in the 100 back (55.13) and 100 fly (56.04). Winning single events were Shawnee Landolt in the 1000 free (10:40.76), Marley Prothero in the 100 breast (1:05.11), Emma Gustafsson in the 200 fly (2:09.23), and Rachel Dixon in the 50 free (23.26).
Making up the winning 200 medley relay team was Robb, Prothero, Katelyne Herrington and Dixon with a time of 1:43.50. Dixon, Haley Ferrer, Hilary Ego and Friderika Szel claimed the 200 free relay in a time of 1:35.89.
The next action for the Rebels will be the 2012 Mountain West Championships, held in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Feb. 22-25.
