MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (UNLVRebels.com) -
One UNLV swimmer was in action on Thursday morning, the first day of the 2014 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The three-day meet, which continues on Friday before concluding on Saturday, is being held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.
Senior Rachel Dixon, with the final swim of her career, competed in the 50 free, and finished with a time of 22.67, which placed her in a tie for 43rd place in the morning prelims.
One more Rebel will compete in this year's meet, with Katelyne Herrington set to swim the 100 fly on Friday morning.
Georgia leads the team standings with 189 points after the first day, while Stanford is second (136) and California third (126).
