Winter Invitational Wraps Up|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's swimming and diving team finished in second while the women's team placed third as the three-day UNLV Winter Invitational concluded on Monday night.
The Rebels swept the night's first event, the 1650 free, as Jessica Heim won the women's event in a time of 17:03.13. Matt Roe meanwhile won the men's race after touching the wall in 16:01.98. The next Rebel win came in the 100 free when Guilherme Passos out-touched Paul Marie-Rose (Fresno Pacific) by .01 to win with a time of 45.12.
Balint Batka would post the next UNLV victory, winning the 200 fly with a swim of 1:49.22. UNLV then swept both 400 free relay events. UNLV's women's squad of Carmen Robb, Brittany Ozar, Julia Fehervari and Rachel Dixon posted a winning time of 3:25.50. Samuel Lameynardie, Tom Paco-Pedroni, Wyatt Adams and Passos closed out the meet by winning the men's 400 free relay with a time of 3:01.08.
Pacific moved ahead of UNLV on the final day to win the men's side, with a final team score of 950, while the Rebels posted 930 to place second. Fresno Pacific was third (561), Concordia fourth (467), Colorado Mesa fifth (311) and Whittier College sixth (70).
On the women's side, New Mexico finished on the top with 987.5 points, while Pacific was second with 811.5. UNLV was third (750), Cal State East Bay fourth (298), Fresno Pacific fifth (296), Concordia sixth (148), Azusa Pacific seventh (126), Whittier eighth (65) and Colorado Mesa was ninth (59).
UNLV returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 5, with a road dual meet at CSU Bakersfield starting at 12 pm.
