Rebels Sweep Team Titles At Invitational|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's and women's swimming and diving teams both finished atop the team standings after the final day of action on Monday night in the UNLV Winter Invitational. The three-day meet was held at Buchanan Natatorium on the UNLV campus.
The 19th-ranked UNLV men closed out the meet by winning three events on the final day. David Szele was first in the 200 breast in 2:02.55, Balint Batka won the 200 fly in 1:48.10, and the 400 free relay team of Steven Nelms, Alex Kulwin, Tyler Bush and Charlie Tapp posted a first place time of 3:01.91 in the 400 free relay.
UNLV scored 920 points to take first in the men's team standings. Fresno Pacific (600), Concordia (344) and Colorado Mesa (277) were the next three teams on the men's side.
On the women's side, the top finish came from the 400 free relay squad of Margot Mommasseau, Carmen Robb, Rachel Dixon and Jessica Marsh that placed second in 3:29.49. Jessica Heim added a third-place swim in the 1650 free, finishing with a time of 17:19.23.
The Rebels posted 836 total points on the women's side, while Northern Arizona was second (447), New Mexico State third (443) and Northern Colorado fourth (273).
Both teams will now be off for a month before returning to action on Saturday, Jan. 21 with a road dual meet at UC Santa Barbara.
