UNLV Swimming & Diving Lands Five On All-Mountain West Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV women’s swimming and diving team saw five individuals earn a spot on the Mountain West All-Conference team, the league announced on Monday.

UNLV had two swimmers named to the all-conference team for two events. Freshman Sofia Carnevale was recognized for her performance in the 100 and 200-yard breast, placing second in each event at the conference championships. Her impressive debut at the MW Championships was highlighted by placing her name on the all-time program list in both events. She is now second all-time in program history in the 100 breast and third in the 200 breast.

Junior Kyndal Phillips was also recognized for her performance in the 100 fly and 200 back, placing fifth and third, respectively. She also placed her name of the all-time program list, moving up to the seventh in the 100 fly and second in the 200 back.

Senior Kristina Hendrick earned herself a spot on the 100-yard breast team, while freshman Ida Schutt (400-yard IM) received honors too.

Sophomore Alyssa Arnett was acknowledged for her display on the platform. She finished in the top eight in both the preliminaries and the finals, competing in the ‘A’ finals finishing seventh overall.
