2008: Pitched in 23 games, including making five starts ... Spent most of the season in the setup role ... Pitched 45.1 innings, striking out 26 and walking 23 ... Went 2-4 with one save and a 7.74 ERA ... Struck out a career-high five batters against Cal State Northridge on April 29 ... That was one of his five starts and he went a career-long 6.2 innings, allowing just one run on eight hits but did not factor in the decision ... Picked up his only save in the third game of the season, tossing a scoreless inning against Central Michigan on Feb. 24 ... First career start was against Texas Tech on April 16, and he worked five innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and striking out three in earning the win in a high-scoring affair ... 2007: Made an instant impact during his rookie season with the Rebels ... Appeared in 30 games, all out of the bullpen ... Recorded five saves and a 4-3 overall record ... Struck out 27 batters, allowed 47 hits and had a 3.51 ERA in 41 innings of work ... Earned the first win of his UNLV career in a 12-11 victory of No. 9 Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 11 ... In his first 16 appearances he allowed just three earned runs over 22.1 innings on the mound ... Struck out a season-high four at Cal on Feb. 17 ... Picked up his first save a day later in an 11-10 win over the Bears ... Registered at least two strikeouts in a game seven times.

NORTHEASTERN: Played one season at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo. ... Pitched and also played the outfield for the Plainsmen ... Helped the team to a 29-27 overall record in 2006 and a third-place finish in the Region IX Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Sierra Vista HS in Las Vegas, Nev. ... Lettered twice for the Mountain Lions under head coach Nathan Selby ... Played right field ...
