UNLV: Enters his third season with the Rebels ... A tall lefty with good movement ... Has the ability to either start or come out of the bullpen ... Throws a lot of strikes and does not walk many batters ... Can control opposing team's running game with a great move to first base.

2008: Pitched almost exclusively out of the bullpen, making 29 appearances with just one start ... Went 2-4 with a 5.59 ERA, striking out 39 and walking just 12 in 48.1 innings of work ... His 12 walks were the fewest by anyone on the staff with at least 15 innings and his 29 appearances were the second most on the squad ... Struck out a career-high five batters against UCLA on April 22 ... Threw 5.2 innings of relief against San Francisco on March 7, the longest of his career ... Allowed just two hits, struck out three and did not give up a run in that appearance against the Dons ... Only start of the year was against Cal State Northridge on May 7 ... Had six games in which he had three or more strikeouts.

2007: Made 22 appearances as a rookie, all out of the Rebel bullpen ... Went 1-1 with a 4.01 ERA in 33.2 innings of work ... Picked up his first win against UC Irvine on March 27, when he came on in relief and gave up just one run in three innings of work ... Started his career by not allowing a run in his first five appearances, a span of 7.2 innings ... Struck out three batters in a game three times and had a total of 27 ... Longest relief appearance of the season was 4.1 innings of work against Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 10.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2006 from Radford HS in Honolulu, Hawaii ... A four-year letterwinner in baseball in three different countries ... Earned first team All-KAIAC honors ... Named the Stars and Stripes baseball Player of the Year ... A three-time runner-up for the award as well ... Also lettered in basketball and football ...
