Chuck Hazzard is in his third year as Director of Operations on Tim Chambers' staff.

Hazzard is no stranger to the UNLV baseball community, having served as an assistant coach with the Rebels from 2003-05, helping guide the Rebels to two Mountain West Conference Tournament titles in the process.

Hazzard served as an assistant coach at nearby Coronado High School in Henderson, Nev., from 2008-January of 2011.

Following his time at UNLV, Hazzard served as an assistant coach at Pepperdine University from 2005-2007. In addition to coaching the baseball team, Hazzard earned his Master's degree in educational technology.

Hazzard enjoyed a stellar playing career at the University of Florida from 1995-98. A two-time co-captain of the Gators, Hazzard was a First Team All-Southeastern Conference selection and 18th round draft selection by the New York Yankees in 1996. He is the only player in UF history to be named to the All-SEC First Team, All-SEC Tournament Team, NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team and College World Series All-Tournament Team in the same season.

Hazzard, who still ranks among Florida's top-10 leaders in several offensive categories, was the recipient of the Coaches Award, given to the individual who demonstrates leadership and exemplifies dedication and determination.

Hazzard married former UNLV Rebels women's golfer Tina Mabanta on June 26, 2009. The couple resides in Henderson and has two dogs, Shockey and Nala.
