UNLV Baseball has its 11th student-athlete named to the freshman-only team selected by Collegiate Baseball since 1995.

2016: Named to Collegiate Baseball's Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team ... Earned Mountain West Co-Freshman of the Year and All-Conference Second Team honors ... Selected the MW Player of the Week once (May 8) ... Finished the year ranked fifth and sixth nationally in triples (eight) and triples per game (0.14), respectively ... Led the Rebels in games played (56), runs (38), triples (eight), total bases (103), hit by pitch (five) and multiple-hit games (eight) ... Batted .319 with 74 hits, 20 of which went for extra bases (10 doubles and one home run) ... Reached base safely in 47 games, which included streaks of 14 and 11 games ... Knocked in 28 RBI ... Had 20 multiple-hit games, which included a season-high five hits against Texas Tech (March 28) ... Also had two four-hit, four three-hit and 13 two-hit games ... Had a season-high five RBI against New Mexico (March 8) as well as one four-RBI, one three-RBI and two two-RBI games ... Earned MW Player of the Week recognition after hitting .500 with 10 hits and tallied .600 slugging and .500 on-base percentages to go with seven RBI and five runs ... The first streak began against Fresno State (March 19), lasted a team-best 13 games, and produced a .393 batting average, 22 hits, six multiple-hit games, 10 RBI and 10 runs ... The second streak began against San Diego (April 11), lasted eight games, and produced a .389 batting average, 14 hits, three multiple-hit games, three RBI and four runs ... The third streak began against UC Irvine (May 3), lasted six games, and produced a .467 batting average, 14 hits, five multiple-hit games, seven RBI and seven runs ... Had two game-winning RBI/hits: a one-run single against Texas Tech (March 28) and a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch against Nevada, Reno (May 19) ... Scored the game-winning run twice ... Walked 17 times ... Stole seven bases in nine attempts.
