Rebels Win In Balk-Off Fashion

UNLV baseball erased two multi-run deficits, defeat Loyola Marymount in 10 innings with help of a balk call.

2017: Led the Rebels in home runs (11) and multiple-RBI games (14) … Started 55 of 55 contests with 47 contests played at first base and eight as the designated hitter … Batted .311 with 66 hits, 23 of which went for extra bases (12 doubles) … Knocked in 48 RBI and scored 25 runs … Had a .524 slugging percentage and a .374 on-base percentage … Had 19 multiple-hit games, which included a season-high three on two occasions: UC Riverside (Feb. 28) and Fresno State (May 5) … Had 14 multiple-RBI games, which included a season-high four RBI on two occasions: UC Riverside (March 1) and Nevada, Reno (May 14) … Owned three hitting streaks of at least five games … The first streak began against Omaha (Feb. 17), lasted 10 games, and produced a .381 batting average, 16 hits, 16 RBI and six runs … The second streak began against Grand Canyon (March 14), last eight games, and produced a .323 batting average, 10 hits, six RBI and two runs … The third streak began against Utah Valley (April 4), last five games, and produced a .429 batting average, six RBI and three runs … The fourth streak began against San Diego State (April 14), lasted eight games, and produced a .310 batting average, nine hits, six RBI and four runs … Had three game-winning hits: a three-run home run against UC Riverside (March 1), a one-run double against Air Force (April 9) and a one-run home run against San Jose State (May 19) … Walked 20 times … Stole one base … Had a .998 fielding percentage in 448 attempts (414 putouts and 33 assists).
