Rebels Fight Off Bison To Avoid Elimination

UNLV baseball plated two runs in the first inning to win 2-1 over North Dakota State on Saturday.

White enters his third season with the UNLV baseball program in 2014 ... A talented infielder that served as the team's primary shortstop last season, but is projected to move back to third base going into the 2014 season.

Played for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox in the Cape Cod league with UNLV teammate Erick Fedde sophomore campaign ... Played in a team-high 40 games for the Red Sox ... Hit .203 with seven doubles and 10 RBI ... Tied for the second most stolen bases on the team with eight ... Hit a team-high two triples.

Appeared in 52 games, all starts, with the majority of playing time coming at shortstop for the Rebels ... Earned All-Mountain West Second Team honors ... Recorded 21 multi-hit games, including six games of recording at least three hits ... Hit .335 on the season and scored a team-high 55 runs ... Recorded 36 RBI and a team-high 12 stolen bases ... Was walked 26 times during the year, which tied for the second most on the team ... Tied his brother's school-record after recording seven hits at UC Riverside (April 16) ...
