Went 1-3 with a 7.33 ERA in 15 appearances and one start as a sophomore with the Rebels ... Struck out 21 batters in 27.0 innings of work and was just one of three pitchers to record a save on the year ... Struck out a season-high five batters in 2.2 innings of work out of the pen in a 12-4 win over Maine on February 18 in the season opener ... Threw a season-high 69 pitches in 3.0 innings of work against Central Michigan on February 26 ... Suffered a near-fatal head injury after being struck in the face by a line drive at UC Riverside on April 12, breaking three bones around his right eye ...
