LAS VEGAS - The UNLV baseball team (19-7, 6-0 MWC) stayed perfect in Mountain West Conference play as they defeated the Air Force Falcons (5-22, 0-6 MWC), for the third time in as many days, 7-0 on Sunday Afternoon.

Senior Righthander David Seccombe started out the game by striking out the side before senior right fielder Eric Nielsen hit an RBI single to score Brent Johnson and put the Rebels ahead 1-0.

The Rebels added three runs in the bottom of the second as shortstop Peter White tripled to right center, driving in two runs, before coming around to score on a balk by Falcon pitcher Clayton Couch.

In the bottom of the fifth, third baseman Ty Soto scored on a balk before senior left fielder Johnny Uriegas' triple down the right line drove in a run, giving the Rebels a 6-0 advantage.

Seccombe (3-1) threw seven innings, allowing only two hits while striking eight and walking only one en route to his third win of the season. Closer Matt Minor added three strikeouts for the Rebels.

White finished the game 2-for-4 with 2 RBI while Nielsen was also 2-for-4 while driving in a run.

For the Falcons, designated hitter Dale Kasel was 1-for-3 while second baseman Colton Walter was 1-for-4. Couch (2-2) was charged with the loss.

The Rebels will play host to No. 18 UC Irvine on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night before heading to San Diego for a marquee matchup against the Aztecs of San Diego State on April 2-4.
