LAS VEGAS - UNLV baseball will have seven student-athletes playing in summer collegiate leagues all across the country and many teams have started their seasons, which will run through the middle of August.

A total of five teams over three leagues will have Rebels on their rosters during the coming summer months. The Rochester (Wis.) Honkers of the Northwoods League will feature UNLV players on their roster in Drew Beuerlein, Rance Roundy and Michael Goodman, and the Honkers are the only team that will have more than one Rebel on its roster.

Sophomore pitcher Thomas Whitsett will play for the Humboldt Crabs, located in Arcata, Calif., and senior pitcher Stephen Singer will take the mound for the Kitsap Bluejackets in Bremerton, Wash.

Two more pitchers will face each other in the Coastal Plain League, as Chad Nading is on the Outer Banks Daredevils (Kill Devil Hills, N.C.) and Kyle Conroy is a member of the Wilson (N.C.) Tops.
