JUNIOR (2001-02)

Named the Mountain West Conference's Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-MWC second team ... was a two-time MWC Player of the Week ... member of the 2001-02 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team ... appeared in 31 games and averaged 15.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.2 steals per game ... shot .470 from the field, .320 from three-point range and .704 from the free throw line ... led the MWC in steals, was sixth in scoring, ninth in assists, ninth in assist/turnover ratio and 14th in field goal percentage ... led the team in assists and steals and was second in scoring and fourth in rebounding ... scored in double figures in 22 games, scoring 20 or more points 11 times including four games in a row at one point ... scored in double figures in 13 of his last 16 games ... started every game he played in ... missed one game because of an ankle injury ... led the team in scoring in seven games.


A 2001 graduate of Dixie College in St. George, Utah ... his sophomore season the team was 36-2 and finished third in the Junior College National Tournament ... he was the player of the year in region 18 and was a first team NJCAA All-American ... won the Bud Obee award, which is given to the best small man in the junior college ranks ... was MVP of his conference ... led the team in scoring and was second in rebounding ... averaged 17 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game ... coached by Jeff Kidder ... played for the USA at the 2001 COPABA (Confederation of Pan American Basketball Associations) Tournament of the Americas ... the team competed in August 2001 in Neuquen, Argentina ... played on that team with new Runnin' Rebel J.K.
