Grade point average data shows progress being made, large number of student-athletes honored by the Mountain West for academic achievements.
David Jackson joined Student-Athlete Academic Services in March of 2003.
Jacksonearned both of his degrees from Texas Tech University; a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems in 2001, and a master's degree in Higher Education Administration in 2002.
Before coming to UNLV, Jackson worked in the Texas Tech Athletic department for three years; serving as a student-assistant, a graduate assistant, and finally, a counseling specialist.
Jackson's primary duties at UNLV are to provide academic advisement and support services for men's basketball and baseball. He also assists the Assistant A.D. for Compliance &Student-Athlete Academic Services with the administration of the department.
