LAS VEGAS (AP) - Wink Adams scored a career-high 27 points and Wendell White had 21 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season Saturday night as UNLV snapped BYU's seven game winning streak with an 83-75 victory.

UNLV (15-4, 2-2 Mountain West Conference) trailed by five early in the second half before going on an 18-6 run to take a 54-47 lead with 11:45 to play.

White had five points in the outburst and Curtis Terry added a 3-pointer.

Adams scored 19 points in the second half, capped by a layup with 3:25 to play that gave the Rebels their biggest lead of the game, 72-56.

Adams also helped the Rebels rally from a double-digit deficit in the first half, hitting a 3-pointer with 41 seconds left for a 36-34 lead.

UNLV scored 11 of the half's last 13 points.

Gaston Essengue and Corey Bailey had 10 points apiece for the Rebels, who improved to 10-1 at home.

BYU (12-5, 2-1) led by as many as 11 points, using a 3-pointer from Lee Cummard to take its biggest lead of the game, 25-14 with 7:37 to play in the first half.

Cummard led the Cougars with 18 points, Keena Young added 16 and Trent Plaisted added 13.
