LAS VEGAS (AP) - Wendell White had 18 points and six rebounds to lead UNLV past Wyoming 80-70 Saturday night.

White, who left the game with 17:11 remaining due to a gash under his chin, came back with 9:16 remaining and played wearing stitches and a bandage for the rest of the game. He went 6-for-10 from the field and 6-for-8 from the free-throw line.

Kevin Kruger had 16 points and six assists and Michael Umeh and Wink Adams added 10 points apiece for the Rebels (21-5, 8-3 Mountain West Conference), who won their 12th straight at home.

Brandon Ewing scored a game-high 30 points for Wyoming (13-12, 4-7). The total was two short of his career high. Ewing went 11-of-20 from the field and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.

Brandon Jones added 18 points for the Cowboys, who have lost four straight and were held to six assists.

The Rebels led by 10 at halftime and built their largest lead of the game 49-32 with 14:51 left. The Cowboys later cut the lead to three points five times, the last at 64-61 with 5:16 left, but came no closer.

UNLV shot 29-of-57 from the field for 51 percent while the Cowboys shot 26-for-58 for 45 percent.

The Rebels led most of the first half, building their largest lead at 35-23 with 1:31 until halftime.

Ewing scored 18 of his points in the half, going 6-of-9 from the field and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. White had 13 points in the first half.
