LAS VEGAS (AP) - UNLV's Kevin Kruger had a game-high 23 points and Joe Darger added 11 points to lead the Rebels 67-57 over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Sunday night.

UNLV (8-2) only led 60-57 with 3:57 to play, but used a Wink Adams 3-pointer in scoring seven straight points to close the game. Adams added 11 points for the Rebels.

Kruger keyed a 10-2 surge in the final 1:31 of the first half as the Rebels took advantage of a pair of technical fouls and made 10 straight from the foul line in breaking a 28-all tie. Kruger accounted for eight of the foul shots.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (4-3) got a team-high 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds from Chris Daniels. Manuel Johnson and Josh Washington added 10 points for the Islanders.
