LAS VEGAS (AP) - Michael Umeh had a game-high 20 points and Louis Amundson added 14 points and 10 rebounds in leading UNLV past Loyola Marymount 79-60 on Thursday.

The Rebels (5-6) shot 68 percent from the field in the second half, using a 19-7 run over the opening 6:13 to extend its lead to 18 points. UNLV had five players in double figures, including Jason Petrimoulx with 14 points and Dustin Villepigue with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Curtis Terry added 11.

Umeh connected on five 3-pointers in the first half, hitting three in the final 2:28 to help the Rebels erase a four-point deficit and go into halftime with a 33-27 advantage.

Loyola Marymount (3-10) dropped its fourth straight game, falling to 1-5 on the road. Brandon Worthy led the Lions with 14 points and Jason Wardrop added 12 points and a game-high seven assists. Matthew Knight added 11 points and six rebounds.
