Senior Night White Out Saturday Vs Wyoming|
March 2, 2012
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 17 UNLV men's basketball team (24-7, 8-5 Mountain West) will close out the regular season at the Thomas & Mack Center on Saturday, March 3, at 7 p.m. vs. Wyoming (20-9, 6-7). It will be the annual Senior Night White Out as all fans are being asked to wear white.
A limited number of 2-for-1 balcony tickets remain available (must be purchased prior to the day of game and while supplies last). The first 5,000 fans will receive a free white Let’s Run t-shirt as well as Senior Posters.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as UNLV's senior class of Oscar Bellfield, Brice Massamba, Chace Stanback and Kendall Wallace will be honored. The four seniors are expected to leave UNLV having played in three NCAA Tournaments – something no seniors have in over 20 years with the program.
UNLV is 16-0 at home this year for the first time since 1989-90, including 15 straight wins at the Thomas & Mack Center, which ranks as the 11th-longest home court win streak in the country.
Saturday's game will be televised on The Mtn., with Ari Wolfe, Joe Cravens and Molly Sullivan calling the action. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the UNLV radio broadcast, which may be heard live in Las Vegas on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. The radio broadcast is also available at UNLVRebels.com through the subscription-based All-Access feature, while Gametracker is provided for free on the website.
Three of UNLV's seven losses this year are to teams that are currently ranked in both top-25 polls, with a fourth to a team receiving votes in both polls. The Runnin' Rebels are ranked for the 12th week this season (11 consecutive), their highest total number of weeks in the polls since 1992-93.
UNLV is 28-15 all-time against Wyoming, including 18-3 in Las Vegas and 14-2 at the Thomas & Mack Center. UNLV lost at Wyoming 68-66 earlier this season on Feb. 4. The Runnin' Rebels have won eight straight games over Wyoming at the Thomas & Mack Center.
