Runnin' Rebels' 2017-18 Mountain West Schedule Announced|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV men's basketball announced its 18-game 2017-18 Mountain West schedule on Tuesday, as the league released the entire lineup of games earlier in the day.
The schedule format for the 11-member conference includes eight home-and-home series and two one-time games. Each institution will play nine home contests and make nine road trips during league action. This is the fifth year that the MW has utilized the 18-game format since expanding to its current membership in 2013-14.
Tuesday's release represents the first phase in the 2017-18 men's basketball schedule process. Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports Network and ESPN will initiate a selection procedure which will include the shifting of select Wednesday games to Tuesday and Saturday games to Sunday. The national television selections are expected to be completed by the middle of August. Regional partner AT&T SportsNet/ROOT Sports -- Northwest Region and Mountain West Network on STADIUM will begin their picks after the national television lineup has been announced.
The 2017-18 MW schedule begins on Wednesday, December 27 with five contests. Because of a bye, UNLV's first conference game will be Saturday, Dec. 30 at home vs. Boise State. UNLV will also host (in order) Utah State, New Mexico, San Diego State, San José State, Wyoming, Air Force, Fresno State and Nevada, Reno at the Thomas & Mack Center this season in league play.
The game at home against Wyoming will be the only time the Runnin' Rebels and Cowboys will face off during the regular season, while the game at Colorado State will be the only time UNLV will face the Rams. The Runnin' Rebels will have byes on Wednesday, Dec. 27 and Saturday, Jan. 13
The conference season plays out over 10 weeks and concludes on Saturday, March 3. League play will determine the seeding for the 2018 MW Men's Basketball Championship held March 7-10 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
UNLV will release its non-conference schedule when complete. Game times will be set once all broadcast networks finalize their selections.
