LAS VEGAS - UNLV men's basketball season tickets, both donor and non-donor seating areas, are now available for purchase for the 2009-10 season, and fans will not see a price increase this year, the Rebel athletics department announced.
Season tickets for the plaza will remain at $485 (many require RAF donations) and dugout seats are $295 (plus RAF donation), while balcony season tickets are $175 and the $90 balcony end zone season tickets will return for a second year in a row. A two-for-one offer for balcony season tickets is also available to members of the UNLV Alumni Association.
Only the plaza and dugout season ticket packages will include a ticket to the Dec. 12 game against Kansas State at The Orleans.
"We are proud to offer a really attractive home schedule for our fans," said Acting Athletics Director Jerry Koloskie. "We're sensitive to the demands that the economy has put on our fans and we are pleased not to raise ticket prices this season while also adding new ticket plans that are family friendly."
UNLV athletics is also offering a "Rebel Stimulus Package" payment plan for current season ticket holders, allowing them to renew their season tickets by charging their credit card for half of the price prior to the Aug. 28 deadline to renew season tickets. The subsequent charge for the remaining half of the ticket price will then be processed on Oct. 14. New season ticket holders may also take advantage of the "Rebel Stimulus Package."
For more information on purchasing season tickets, call 702-739-FANS (3267). Those interested in purchasing donor season tickets in the plaza level should call 702-895-1533. Single game tickets will not be released until November while special mini-plans are expected to be released in October.
The Runnin' Rebels finished the 2008-09 season with an overall record of 21-11, earning a postseason invitation for the third straight year. UNLV also won over 20 games for the third straight season in 2008-09, which marked the first time the program posted three consecutive 20-plus-victory seasons since 1990-93.
In 2009-10, Kruger will be in his sixth season as head coach of the Runnin' Rebels. He has a five-year record of 112-53 (.679) leading the UNLV men's basketball program. Since the start of the 2006-07 season, the Runnin' Rebels have turned in a record of 78-26 (.750).
UNLV will return six letterwinners from last year's team, including two starters. Five players who redshirted last year will be eligible in 2009-10, along with three additional newcomers. The Runnin' Rebels lost in the first round of the NIT to Kentucky to end their season in March.
