LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team will embark on its first road trip of the season this weekend as the Thomas & Mack Center hosts the annual National Finals Rodeo. UNLV, which is the only Mountain West team to have yet to play a road or neutral-site game this season, played its first six games of this year's campaign at home, recording a 3-3 mark.

The Runnin' Rebels are set for their biggest challenge of the season as they head to Tucson, Ariz., to face No. 2 Arizona at McKale Center on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 3:15 p.m. MST/2:15 p.m. PST. The contest, which will be the Wildcats' annual "white out" game, is completely sold out and will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with Roxy Bernstein and Miles Simon calling the action and will also be available via the WatchESPN App. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. A listen link as well as Gametracker is available at UNLVRebels.com.

UNLV is coming off a 30-point win over UT Martin (85-55) last Saturday, Nov. 30. Runnin' Rebel junior Roscoe Smith, who leads the nation in rebounding average with 16.2 rpg, recorded his fourth double-double of the year in that game with 13 points and 19 rebounds. He has grabbed 10 or more rebounds in every game this season and has had at least 19 in three of his last four games. Junior forward Khem Birch, who is second in the country in blocked shots with 4.7 per contest, has had double-figure rebounding totals in four of his six contests and has blocked at least four shots in a game in all but two this season.

Prior to their 30-point win over the Skyhawks, the Runnin' Rebels lost two straight by a combined eight points - 86-80 to Arizona State on Nov. 19 and 61-59 to Illinois on Nov. 26.
