LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV men's basketball team will play its second and final non-conference road game of the season this Saturday at Southern Utah as the Thomas & Mack Center finishes hosting the annual National Finals Rodeo. UNLV played its first road game of the 2013-14 season last Saturday, which was a 63-58 loss at then-No. 2 Arizona, after playing its first six games of this year's campaign at home. The Runnin' Rebels held what is now the nation's top-ranked team to its lowest scoring output of the season and its second-closest game in terms of margin of victory.

The Runnin' Rebels will face the Thunderbirds at Centrum Arena in Cedar City at 5 p.m. MST/4 p.m. PST. There is no television coverage scheduled for this game, however a free live video stream is available from Big Sky Access, which may be found via a link at UNLVRebels.com. Jon Sandler and Robert Smith will handle the radio call, which may be heard live on ESPN Radio 1100 AM/98.9 FM. An internet listen link is also available at UNLVRebels.com.

Prior to the game in Tucson, UNLV defeated UT Martin (85-55) by 30 points in its last home game, which was on Saturday, Nov. 30. Runnin' Rebel junior Roscoe Smith, who leads the nation in rebounding average with 14.7 rpg, has four double-doubles this year and grabbed 10 or more rebounds in the first six games of the season with totals of 19, 21 and a career-high 22. Junior forward Khem Birch, who also has four double-doubles this season, is fifth in the country in blocked shots with 4.3 per contest. He has had double-figure rebounding totals in five of his seven games and has blocked at least four shots in a game four times this season. Both Smith (12.3 ppg, 14.7 rpg) and Birch (11.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg) are averaging double-doubles, while junior guard Bryce Dejean-Jones leads the team in scoring at 13.3 ppg.

No. 22 UNLV Dominates Southern Utah, 72-50
Anthony Marshall scored a career high 17 points to lead UNLV over Southern Utah 72-50 Saturday night. Freshman forward Carlos Lopez had season-highs of 12 points and 11 rebounds for UNLV (10-2), which had lost its previous two. The Rebels, who never trailed, also won despite shooting 3 of 16 from 3-point range. Matt Hodgson led Southern Utah (3-8) with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Teammate Jordan Weirick added 10 points. The Thunderbirds were 2 of 11 from 3-point range and made 14 of 32 free throws.
