New Year's Eve Game At Hawaii To Be Shown On 8 News Now

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The Dec. 31 men's basketball game between UNLV and Hawaii from Honolulu is scheduled to be televised live in Southern Nevada on 8 News Now starting at 5 p.m. PST. The game will be presented by the Findlay Automotive Group, according to 8 News Now.

"We appreciate the efforts of all involved to make this broadcast a reality," UNLV head coach Dave Rice said. "From 8 News Now and the Findlay Automotive Group to our IMG team - they wanted to make it happen for our fans and they found a way to get it done."

8 News Now will pick up the existing local Hawaii feed and broadcast it back to Las Vegas.

"As most people in the Las Vegas valley know, 8 News Now is dedicated to supporting UNLV Athletics and anytime we can bring a game to our marketplace for our fans, we're going to work to make it possible," said Linda Bonnici, vice president of sales for 8 News Now.

The No. 19/20 Runnin' Rebels will host Central Arkansas on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center before traveling to Hawaii.
