2017-18 Runnin' Rebel Fan Experience Enhancements

In the month of September 2017, UNLV Athletics conducted a survey to learn more about the Runnin' Rebel game day experience in an effort to improve the atmosphere for season ticket holders, students and general fans. Close to 1,000 fans participated in the surveys; the following represents actions the UNLV Athletics Department will initiate over the course of the season to improve the overall fan experience and game day atmosphere at Runnin' Rebel Basketball.

  1. Social Media Engagement
    • Hashtag your pics #UsNowLV to be featured on the video board
    • DAS installment to increase bandwidth of cellular service for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon customers
  2. Commitment to Students
    • Branding of student section with signage
    • 3 tailgates during the season at premium games
    • Meet & Greet w/ teams in Mendenhall and food trucks outside
  3. Season Ticket Holder Perks
    • Fast Pass line at Fastbreaks Concessions located across from Portals 3 and 21 with the Perks Credential
    • Continued voice with periodical surveys during the season
    • Season Ticket Holders can submit messages for the video boards, must be emailed to, deadline 3 business days prior to game, random draw on winning messages

  5. Food & Beverage Enhancements
    • Increased concession offerings with new stands featuring a health stand; specialty stands open for premium games; and a craft beer area
    • $5 voucher for first 300 fans on Wednesday games
    • Popcorn voucher for first 300 fans on Saturday games
  6. Enhanced In-Game Fan Experience
    • Less commercialization, more Runnin' Rebel Basketball!
    • Statistic Updates on video board
    • New Video Features
  7. Family Fun
    • Game Zones at select games on concourse with roving balloon artist and face painter
    • Rebel Block Party on select games
