HIGH SCHOOL: A 2005 graduate of Kamehameha HS ... Lettered two seasons as a HB and TE for coach Kanani Souza ... Named first team All-Interscholastic League of Honolulu (ILH) as a utility player as well as second team all-state.

PERSONAL: Kamuela K. Kapanui was born on Jan. 8, 1987, in Honolulu ... The son of Mary Kapanui ... Has one brother, Kolomona ... Already earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and is currently pursuing a second degree in kinesiological sciences.
