Kohorst Kicks Way To Honors

Senior from Green Valley High School is team's third special team player of the week in 2013.

UNLV: A former walk-on transfer who will again compete for the Rebels' place-kicking job this fall as a senior ... Awarded a scholarship for 2008, he and junior Ben Jaekle will both vie for the team's kickoff, extra-point and field-goal duties ... Can also serve as a punter ... Needs 11 more extra points to break the school record for most consecutive converted (45 by Dillon Pieffer in 2001-02 and Jim Cook 1986-88).

2008: Turned in near-perfect season serving as team's short-range place-kicker ... Hit all 35 extra points he attempted and finished 7-8 in field goals with a long of 38,

2007: Earned his first letter as a Rebel by playing in all 12 games ... Served as the team's primary kickoff specialist.
