HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwiner at Desert Pines HS under coach Tico Rodriguez … Senior season, which saw DPHS win the 3A state title, was cut short after suffering an injury in Week One … All-state honorable mention as a junior after throwing for 1,636 yards and 21 touchdowns and rushing for 300 yards and eight touchdowns … Named to the all-state second team after passing for 2,180 yards and 27 touchdowns and rushing for 209 yards and three more scores as a sophomore … Named the Nevada Player of the Week following first career start in 2014 … Led the Jaguars to an 11-2 record as a sophomore and a state championship appearance … Also a three-year letterwinner on the hardwood for the Jaguars, playing the wing … Desert Pines also won the state championship in hoops during his senior year ...
