UNLV HEAD COACH Mike Sanford

OPENING STATEMENT:
What we talked to the team about was winning for our seniors. This win today is not about me and it's not about the coaching staff, it is about our seniors and our players.

I love the senior class. I am very proud of how they played today. I am very proud of how they represented themselves.

I think they showed tremendous character. We were down 24-7 and we came back and won. We believed we were going to win.

ON THE TEAM WHEN IT WAS DOWN BY 17 POINTS IN THE THIRD QUARTER:
They believed that they were going to win and we kept fighting. One of the things we have done this year as a football team is kept fighting.

ON PLAYING WITHOUT SENIOR WIDE RECEIVER Ryan Wolfe:
We had Ryan Wolfe down and obviously you can't replace Ryan Wolfe but the only way you can is to have your players step up and that is what happened today. Other receivers stepped up. Rodelin Anthony played well, Jerriman Robinson made some great plays and obviously Phillip Payne made some great plays.

UNLV QUARTERBACK Omar Clayton

ON WINNING THE FINALE:
I can't explain how great it feels to end the season on a good note. The receivers, even with Ryan (Wolfe) out, were able to get open and make plays. The defense played great and got pressure on the quarterback.
