LAS VEGAS - UNLV safety Mike Clausen and wide receiver Michael Johnson have been suspended indefinitely by head coach Bobby Hauck for violating team rules and both players will miss spring practice.

Clausen, who will be a senior in 2011, moved to defense last season after starting the first game at quarterback. He played in 12 games, starting four as a defensive back, and finished with 31 total tackles, one interception and one fumble return for a touchdown.

Johnson, who will also be a senior, started 11 games and led the Rebels with 51 receptions that went for 571 yards and five touchdowns. He also returned nine punts for a total of 22 yards.

There will be no further comment from UNLV regarding the suspensions.

UNLV's spring practice is scheduled to run from Feb. 28 to April 2.
