Rebels' Season Opener Moved Up A Day|
March 3, 2014
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV football team will open its 2014 season one day earlier than previously announced as Arizona has moved the lid-lifter in Tucson to Friday Aug. 29.
The Rebels will face the Wildcats at either 7:00 or 7:15 p.m. PT with television selection information to be announced at a later date. This will mark the fourth consecutive season that UNLV's opening game is played on either a Thursday or Friday.
UNLV is set to visit Arizona Stadium for just the second time ever and first time since 2001. The trip to Tucson follows the Wildcats' game in Las Vegas last fall.
Fans should note that other date changes to UNLV's schedule are possible when the Mountain West Conference national TV partners make their selections in the coming weeks.
Fifth-year head coach Bobby Hauck's Rebels open their annual Spring Practice sessions today on campus.
New football season tickets are on sale now starting at only $90 for all home games. Renewals are also available now. Log on to www.unlvtickets.com for more information. For more information on Rebel Football, visit www.unlvrebels.com.
