LAS VEGAS - Eight members of the UNLV football team joined head coach Mike Sanford in volunteering at a unique community event called Joy Prom on May 8.

The group of Rebels gave their time on a Friday night at the new M Resort in an effort to brighten the lives of more than 250 mentally and developmentally disabled residents of Southern Nevada.

UNLV players Omar Clayton, Les Obie, Anthony White, Rodelin Anthony, Tate Knutson, Matt Murphy and Ronnie Paulo served as shoe shines for the men in attendance as they prepared for their big night. In addition, All-America candidate wide receiver Ryan Wolfe was dressed in full uniform to pose for prom photos as did Rebel cheerleader Rachel Ludwig.
