LAS VEGAS - Former Rebel star and current Canadian Football League player Dominique Dorsey will start at tailback against his former team when the Toronto Argonauts face the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday night.
Dorsey spent two seasons with Saskatchewan before being traded to Winnipeg and then released by the Blue Bombers in the off-season.
Dorsey, who's replacing the injured John Avery (ankle), told the Canadian Press (CP) that he held no ill feelings towards his former team, the Riders.
"It's just a part of the game of football and I couldn't be happier with where I'm at right now," he said. "I'm real excited about playing these guys and am definitely looking forward to this game, being that it's against my old team."
Dorsey made his Argo debut last week and played a big role, returning a missed field goal a CFL record-tying 129 yards and a touchdown to earn the league's special-teams player of the week honor.
Dorsey ranked second in UNLV history with 2,834 rushing yards from 2001-04. He was the 2001 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and a first team all-league selection after running for 1,261 yards as a senior.
