Aug. 12, 2016
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - Friday brought another two-a-day to Rebel Park, which leads into the first scrimmage of #CampRebel. While most practices are closed to the public, Saturday's is open to fans. However, as always, no electronic recording or communication devices are allowed to be in use during the practice.
The Rebels are scheduled to take the field at 9:30 a.m. and then line up for the scrimmage starting about 20 minutes later.
"We'll get started scrimmaging just before 10," said Head Coach Tony Sanchez. "We'll try to get 40-45 plays in, take a five-minute break. We'll do some kickoff and punt and then we'll do another 40-45 plays and then we're done."
A second scrimmage will also be open to the public next Friday (Aug. 19) starting at approximately 8:10 a.m.
While the team had its first off-day during #CampRebel on Thursday, the team did travel to Sam Boyd Stadium for the program's annual Photo Day. The official team photo was captured while freshmen had their first head shots snapped and everyone jumped in front of a green screen to take a video head shot for the scoreboard.
