Rebel Radio Ready To Kick Off Season|
Aug. 27, 2010
LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV football's radio broadcasts, including the coach's show, begin their seasons next week with a new way for fans to listen along with a new but familiar voice behind the microphone.
All 13 UNLV football games will be heard again in Southern Nevada this fall on ESPN 1100 AM but also for the first time on 98.9 FM. The UNLV ISP Sports Network includes an affiliate to the north, Reno radio station Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM, which is also owned by Lotus Broadcasting.
ISP also announced Friday that Jon Sandler will again add football to his duties after five years of exclusively calling the action for the men's basketball team. Sandler, who replaces Dave McCann on the football broadcasts, was most recently part of the football team's radio crew during the 2005 season. Joining him in the booth will be former college and NFL star Mike Pritchard, who is in his fifth season as the school's analyst.
"It's an honor to be included as part of the football broadcast team and I look forward to working with Coach Hauck, Pritch and all of the staff and players," Sandler said. "I am excited to be a part of the new direction and attitude of Rebel Football."
Also, all season long, fans outside of Nevada can hear the action through UNLV's official website unlvrebels.com as a subscription to Rebels All-Access is available for $6.95 per month or $49.95 a year.
