Lansford Lands Spot On Ray Guy List|

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV senior Chase Lansford has been added to the final list of candidates for the 2012 Ray Guy Award, which goes to the nation's top collegiate punter, the Augusta Sports Council announced Friday.
Lansford, out of Yorba Linda, Calif., is on the list for the second straight season after transferring to UNLV out of Santa Ana College. He is currently 29th in the nation with a punting average of 42.8-yards per attempt and has seen 12 of his 39 attempts land inside opponents' 20-yard line with seven going 50 yards or longer.
He was a preseason second team All-Mountain West selection according to the Lindy's and third team by Phil Steele's.
The list will be narrowed to 10 semifinalists to be announced on November 9. Following the semifinalists announcement, a national body of Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) sports information directors, coaches, media representatives and previous Ray Guy Award winners will vote for the top three finalists, who will be identified on November 19. The presentation of the Ray Guy Award will be featured on The Home Depot College Football Awards live on Thursday, December 6 at 7:30 pm ET on ESPN.
