Burns Intercollegiate in Kaneohe, Hawaii, tying for fifth at eight-under par Missed just one tourney on the season Tied for 47th overall at the NCAA Championships, shooting one-over par Earned the right to play a round with President Bill Clinton as one of just two remaining members of the Rebels 1998 national championship squad Ranked as high as 97th individually in the nation. 1998-99: Competed in eight tournaments Recorded his best finish at the U.S. Collegiate Golf Championship where he tied for ninth Had a scoring average of 74.67, playing 24 rounds Finished in the top 20, four times and in the top 10, once Shot par or better six times. 1997-98: Competed in 13 tournaments Recorded his best finish at the Morris Williams where he came in seventh Had a scoring average of 73.54, playing 39 rounds Finished in the top-20 three times and the top-10 once Shot par or better 12 rounds His best postseason finish was a tie for 12th at the WAC Championships Finished 37th at the NCAA Championships helping UNLV capture its first-ever team title. 1996-97: Redshirt season Played in the William H. Tucker Invitatational Tied for 20th with a total of 215. HIGH SCHOOL: A 1996 graduate of Kingman High School ... A two-time state champion who was also a four-time all-state honoree for the Bulldogs ... Finished prep career with stroke average of 36 ... Helped team to four district titles and one runner-up finish at state tourney ... A 1995 Second-Team Rolex All-American ... Medalist at the 1995 Oklahoma Junior Classic as well as Polo Southwestern Junior Classic in Albuquerque, N.M. ... KNIGHT ON LANDER: I just think the world of Scott. Hes got very high goals. Hes very dedicated. He has worked hard in school to get this degree, and thats not been an easy chore for him. I admire him very much for what hes put into his time here and Id love to see him go out with a great finish his senior year.
