No. 20 Rebels Third After NCAA Regional's Second Round|

COLUMBUS, Ohio (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 20 UNLV men's golf team shot a second-round 9-over-par 293 Tuesday and is in third place at the 2018 NCAA Columbus Regional, which is being played at Ohio State University's Scarlet Course (par 71, 7,364 yards).
Both No. 1 Oklahoma State and No. 12 Illinois shot a tournament-low 6-under 278 during the second round; however, the former (9-under 559) owns a three-shot lead over the latter (six-under 562). UNLV shot 9-over Tuesday and is third with a 36-hole total of 7-over 575. Northwestern and Texas Tech sit fourth (15-over 583) and fifth (17-over 585), respectively.
The Rebels have three individuals among the top 10. Illinois' Nick Hardy and Michael Feagles and Oklahoma State's Matthew Wolff and Zach Bauchou are tied for first at 3-under 139. UNLV junior Harry Hall is one shot back and tied for fifth at 2-under 140, while senior Shintaro Ban is three shots back in ninth at even-par 71 and freshman Garrick Higgo is four back at 1-over 143.
Play was halted due to inclement weather with four teams still on the course. The second round will resume at 6:00 am (CST) with the final round to continue as originally scheduled.
STAT OF THE DAY: Hall is only one of six golfers to shoot under-par in each round; he is 1-under 70 in both rounds.
REBEL OF THE DAY: Hall's round Tuesday consisted of three birdies and two bogeys.

There are a total of 13 teams and 75 individuals competing. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championship finals, which will be played May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
