No. 12 Rebels Finish Fourth At Season Opener|

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 12 UNLV men's golf team shot a final-round low 13-under 275 Sunday to climb four spots in the standings and finish fourth at the 19-team, season-opening Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, which was played at Eisenhower Golf Course (par 72, 7,511 yards).
Wyoming won the tournament's team title by five shots at 29-under 835. The Cowboys' John Murdock earned medalist honors by five shots at 14-under 202.
The Rebels had four individuals finish among the top 25.
STAT OF THE DAY: UNLV shot the low final round at 13-under 275. Colorado had the next best final round at 10-under.
REBELS OF THE DAY: Freshman Jack Trent and senior Shintaro Ban both went low during the final round each with a 6-under 66. Trent finished tied for fifth in his first collegiate event, recording an eagle on 11, along with five birdies and a bogey during Sunday's round. Ban recorded a bogey-free round with six birdies.
