Rebels Head To Tempe|

LAS VEGAS - The No. 6 UNLV men's golf team will travel to Tempe, Ariz., for the ASU Thunderbird Invitational being held Saturday-Sunday, April 8-9, at ASU's Karsten Golf Course (par 72, 7,037 yards). The Rebels are the defending champions at the event.
The 34th annual Thunderbird Invitational will feature 15 schools that will play 36 holes on Saturday, April 8, followed by a final round of 18 holes on Sunday, April 9. Last year, UNLV won the tournament with a 7-over-par 859, while Kipp Riehle of Arizona won medalist honors with a 7-under 206.
The 15 competing schools will be Arizona, ASU (two teams), Arkansas, California, UCF, Colorado State, Illinois, Kansas State, Oregon, Penn State, San Diego State, Stanford, South Carolina, Texas Tech and UNLV.
In its last outing, UNLV finished tied for ninth at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson, Ariz., with its best individual finish coming from Gonzales, who tied for seventh at 4-under 212, two shots out of first place.
