DENVER - Denver scored the lone goal of the game in the first half to claim a 1-0 win over UNLV in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's soccer contest on Sunday afternoon.

UNLV (5-4-1, 0-2) held a 20-15 edge on shots but were shutout for the second straight game. Denver (4-5-0, 2-0) remained undefeated in conference play thanks to Kyle Christensen, who scored from the middle of the box in the 36th minute for the 1-0 Pioneer lead. The Rebels would get a total of seven shots on goal for the game, but could not get past DU goalkeeper Joe Willis.

Hawk Mummey posted five saves in goal for the Rebels, while Willis finished the afternoon with seven.

The Rebels will come home to Las Vegas for their next two games. First up will be a Friday night contest against Sacramento State at 7 pm, followed by a Sunday game against San Jose State at 1 pm.
