Another Marshall Weekly Honor|
Sept. 21, 2009
LAS VEGAS - UNLV's Nick Marshall was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation co-Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Monday. It is the second weekly MPSF honor of his career, as he was also honored in the first week of the season. He shares this week's award with Demaci Roussos of Seattle.
Marshall, a freshman forward and native of Tucson, Ariz., came off of the bench to score two first half goals, including the eventual game-winner, in UNLV's 3-2 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday afternoon, helping UNLV extend its current five-game unbeaten streak. The two goals gave him six for the year and 14 points on the season, both of which currently rank him first in the league. Marshall also ranks 15th in the nation in goals per game, and 16th in points per game.
UNLV (4-1-2) will return to action on Sunday, Sept. 26, when it faces top-10 UCLA in Los Angeles in a 5 pm contest.
