LAS VEGAS - Following UNLV's 2-1 double-overtime upset of 21st-ranked New Mexico on Saturday night, junior forward Nicholas Paterson picked up a pair of weekly honors on Monday. He was named both Co-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week, and was also named to College Soccer News' Team of the Week. Paterson becomes the first Rebel to earn conference weekly honors this season, and joins Lamar Neagle as having been named to the CSN Team of the Week in 2007.

Paterson, a native of Mothewell, Scotland, came off the bench to score the golden goal against the Lobos, breaking UNLV's seven-game losing streak to New Mexico. It was also his first goal of the year after missing several games in the beginning of the season due to a knee injury.

The Rebels, 6-7-2 and 2-4 in the MPSF, will return to action on Friday, Nov. 9, as they host San Jose State at 7 pm at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
