WOODLAND, Calif. - UNLV placed three players on the 2004 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Men's Soccer All-Conference teams, it was announced on Tuesday by the League office. Rod Dyachenko, Victor "Boomer" Arbelaez, and Brendon Bain all earned their second straight conference honor.
Dyachenko, a junior forward from Vancouver, Wash., led the Rebels this year with six goals and two assists for 14 points, while also posting four game-winners (of six total for the team) to earn first-team honors. Joining him on the first team was Arbelaez, a senior midfielder of Las Vegas who started every game for UNLV, and finished with two goals and one assists for five points.
Bain was the final Rebel to earn MPSF honors, named to the second team. A senior midfielder of Beaverton, Ore., Bain also started all 18 games, and recorded one goal and two assists for the year.
UNLV finished the season 6-12, and 5-7 in the MPSF.
